PCR test and Antigen rapid test to detect the coronavirus

A PCR test permits a fast and reliable identification of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). The molecular-biological corona test enables the detection of an active infection – even if the person is (still) symptom-free.
In addition, Confraternität Private Hospital offers antigen rapid tests as well.
Confraternität Private Hospital offers a nose-throat-swab to people WITHOUT symptoms.
If you have symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath, or have been in close contact with someone who is (probably) infected, stay at home and call the health advice hotline 1450 to discuss what to do next.
PCR test process and Antigen rapid test process
The tests to identify a COVID-19 infection are carried out at the Confraternität Private Hospitals Doctor’s Office Center.

Result report
PCR test
Your test result for your PCR test will be available electronically via a secure data link. You will receive an email notification as soon as the result report (in German or English) is ready to download.
If the test is positive and the coronavirus has been detected, you will be informed immediately by phone. The hospital is also obliged to report any positive results to the health authorities.
Antigen rapid test
Your test result for your antigen rapid test will be available within 15 to 20 minutes. You can wait for the result directly on site and receive your report to take home or you can have it sent to you by e-mail.
Please be aware that the test result is only a snapshot of a specific moment. Even if the test is negative, the possibility of an infection after that point in time cannot be ruled out.
Costs
The tests at Confraternität Private Hospital are a private service. The fee includes the swab test as well as the result report and is
- € 85 for the PCR test,
- € 25 for the antigen rapid test.
The fee must be paid on site, payment is possible via debit or credit card.
