Safety for patients
Just as you entrust yourself to the flight crew when you board a plane, you trustingly place yourself in the hands of your doctors and nursing staff when you check into a hospital. And just like in an airplane, there are a series of checks and measures that are undertaken in a hospital to ensure your safety.
For example, we have instituted measures in the following areas:
- Patient wristband with name and date of birth
- Safety during operations: Checklists before and during the intervention
- Safety with drugs
- Preventing infections caused by hospital-acquired pathogens through improved hand hygiene
- Preventing infection of wounds
- Preventing falls
