Ethics committee

A joint ethics committee in accordance with § 15 Wr. KAG (Vienna Hospital Act) has been established at Confraternität Private Hospital and Döbling Private Hospital.

The ethics committee's task is to evaluate trials of drugs and medical products, the application of new medical methods including non-interventional studies and applied medical research involving human subjects. Furthermore, the assessment of treatment research projects implementation, as well as the application of new care and treatment concepts are part of the Ethic Committee's responsibilities.

The Ethics Committee assesses the projects submitted to it in accordance with the principles laid down in the Declaration of Helsinki, and all eligible relevant legislation.

The Ethics Commission meets every third Thursday of the month at 5 PM on Confraternität Private Hospital's premises. Dates and agendas lie with the chairman of the ethics committee.
